Innovating electrical solutions with sustainability in mind

Green Star rated Australian-made product, in-house PVC recovery since 2015, and a public recycling centre for conduit and ducting from demolition sites.

B.E.P Certified PVC

Green Star rating held on all Australian-made HP Profiles products since 2015. The current Certificate of Conformity is available in the download centre.

Our Commitments

Recovering PVC, not sending it to landfill

B.E.P Certified PVC (Green Star)

Certified since 2015 · All Australian-made product

HP Profiles strives to be civically minded and environmentally responsible in every way possible. In 2015 HP Profiles attained a Green Star rating on all of its Australian-made products after a rigorous process covering compliance, manufacturing processes, material usage and the recycling of PVC used in the manufacture of our products.

HP Profiles is firm in its belief that by considering the environment and taking active steps to recover and re-use PVC, we are contributing towards a more sustainable future for future generations. Our latest B.E.P Certificate of Conformity is available in the download centre.

A local recycling centre for the trade

30+ years in-house recovery · 100% recyclable resin · Dandenong South, VIC

HP Profiles has been recycling all in-house PVC scraps and offcuts for over 30 years.

As PVC may have a service life in excess of 100 years, HP Profiles is concerned that PVC product from demolition sites is finding its way to landfill instead of being recycled. The resin used in the manufacture of PVC corrugated conduit and electrical ducting is recyclable and, once recycled, can be re-used in the manufacture of other products.

In Practice

Sustainability in action

Eco-Friendly Manufacturing

We use energy-efficient machinery, reducing emissions and optimising resource use across all three plants. Together with PV solar at both of our manufacturing plants, we can reduce emissions and costs.

Recycled and Sustainable Materials

Our conduits and fittings are made using partially recycled PVC and sustainable materials. We recycle all waste PVC we produce.

Durable and Long-Lasting Products

Designed to withstand extreme conditions, reducing the need for replacements and the waste that comes with them.

Certifications and Compliance

Fully compliant with Australian and international environmental standards, verified by independent testing.

Renewable Energy

Solar PV on our Melbourne and Perth production facilities

Rooftop solar arrays at our Melbourne and Perth plants generate clean electricity on site, powering the extrusion lines that produce our corrugated conduit and electrical ducting. Generating where we manufacture cuts grid demand during peak production hours and lowers the emissions embodied in every coil we make.

The same conduit and cable-protection systems we supply to Australian solar farms are made under panels of our own, a closed loop we intend to keep expanding across our facilities.

Recycling Service

Drop off PVC conduit and ducting

The HP Profiles Recycling Centre accepts HP Profiles PVC corrugated conduit and electrical ducting from demolition and site clean-ups. Drop-offs are by appointment only — call ahead and we'll book a convenient time.

Important — HP Profiles product only

We can only accept PVC corrugated conduit and electrical ducting that HP Profiles manufactured. Because our recycled resin goes straight back into our own production, we cannot process product made by other brands — competitor material has a different formulation and would contaminate the batch.

Check for the HP Profiles or HPFLEX® branding printed along the conduit before you load. If you are unsure, call us on 03 9792 9740 and we'll confirm before you make the trip.
