The Horsham Solar Farm and Energy Storage Project is a landmark renewable energy development in Victoria, delivering publicly owned clean energy to support the state’s long-term sustainability goals. The project will generate enough electricity to power approximately 51,000 homes and is expected to offset around 206,000 tonnes of emissions each year.

Constructed in two stages, the energy park includes:

• 119 MW solar facility with more than 212,000 photovoltaic panels
• Annual generation of approximately 242,000 MWh
• A future 100 MW, two-hour Battery Energy Storage System (BESS)
• One of Victoria’s largest grid-forming batteries to support grid stability

The project is delivered in partnership with OX2 and supported by the State Electricity Commission (SEC) as part of Victoria’s commitment to building publicly owned renewable energy assets.

The development will also create around 246 construction jobs, including 20 apprentice, trainee and cadet roles, contributing to significant regional employment and skills opportunities.

HP Profiles supplied PEFLEX® 36 mm split conduit for SEC Renewable Energy Park - Horsham. The conduit was supplied for cable protection and management within the project's electrical infrastructure.

The split conduit can be fitted around existing cables without disconnecting or reterminating them. PEFLEX® is manufactured from HDPE and is designed for flexibility and UV resistance in outdoor applications.
