HP Profiles is proud to have supplied PEFLEX® 48S conduit for Global Power Generation Australia’s Fraser Coast Hybrid Project.
Located approximately 50 kilometres south-west of Maryborough, the project combines a 330 MWdc solar farm with a 180 MW/360 MWh battery energy storage system. The approximately 500-hectare development will feature more than 528,000 solar panels and connect to Powerlink’s 275 kV Teebar Creek Substation. Once operational, it is expected to supply clean energy equivalent to the needs of approximately 167,000 households.
PEFLEX® 48S split corrugated conduit was supplied to support cable protection and management across the project’s electrical infrastructure.
Its split design allows the conduit to be installed around existing cables, helping streamline installation while providing durable protection in demanding outdoor environments. Manufactured from high-density polyethylene, PEFLEX® offers a practical cable-protection solution for large-scale solar and energy infrastructure projects.
The Fraser Coast Hybrid Project is expected to avoid approximately 656,000 tonnes of carbon emissions and create around 280 full-time-equivalent jobs during construction.
